This is a similar procedure to a colonoscopy but is a lesser test an takes 10-20 minutes. This test allows the enodscopist to see the lower part of the large bowel (the sigmoidcolon) and the rectum only, instead of the whole of the large bowel(colon) as in the colonoscopy proceedure.
