Who will look after you?

While you are with us, you will be under the care of a team of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Every ward has an experienced sister or nurse in charge. Groups of wards are supervised by matrons. Please ask to see your sister, charge nurse or matron if you have any concerns.

All staff wear a badge that carries their name and their job.

Who’s Who

A senior doctor will oversee your diagnosis and treatment. He or she is supported by a team of doctors including registrars and junior doctors.

They wear white tops with green trousers.

They wear white polo shirts and blue trousers.

Speech and Language Therapists:
No uniform.

Kingston Hospital is a teaching hospital, which means students – supervised by qualified staff – may be involved in your care. Please tell the doctor or nurse if you do not want students present during your treatment. Students wear pale blue striped uniforms.
