Thank you to everyone who participated in our Sustainability Week, this was a fantastic campaign for sustainability awareness at Kingston! Over the week we had 80 entries for our Sustainability Quiz and 20 new Green Champions sign up to the programme.
Key Highlights from Sustainability Week included some excellent ideas put forward for the Sustainability Initiative Competition and a keen engagement from many of you with some of the Trust suppliers including Veolia, ISS and Sharpsmart. On Sustainability Day, we were raising awareness of the Big Easter Switch-off and will be following up soon with details on the success of this campaign.
Our Quiz Winner!
We are delighted to announce that Louisa Fogg scored full marks on the Sustainability Quiz and would like to congratulate her on winning the fold-up bike! Congratulations also to Sue Shipton our second prize winner who was close behind Louisa and received an M&S voucher!
A big thank you to all of you who took the time to answer the quiz, it was great to get such a good level of involvement!
Sustainability Initiatives Winner!
The Sustainability Initiative Competition was very successful with a number of excellent ideas that will be fed into the wider sustainability programme. Our winner was Lynette Boardman who came up with lots of ideas, including using egg timers to measure how much hot water you are using, using old Christmas cards to make Pharmacy bag labels and making sure lights and PC’s are switched off at the end of the day. Congratulations Lynette!
We are constantly working with our Green Champions to enable energy savings, improve recycling and promote sustainability initiatives across the Trust and we look forward to welcoming the new Green Champions on board! We would like to thank you all for your continued support and input into this programme.
