NHS Pensions and related advice

We are aware that some colleagues have concerns about membership of the NHS Pension scheme and associated costs. These concerns range from those long serving or higher income colleagues who are at risk of incurring extra tax liabilities because they exceed their tax free pension allowance – either on an annual or lifetime basis; and from those lower paid staff who are concerned about affordability of scheme membership

The Trust is working at a national level and with partners in SWL to develop solutions that are both workable and legal from a regulatory point of view. However, in advance of this work bringing results there are resources available to all staff that offer advice and help with regard to their pension options, both within and outside the NHS Scheme.

For general pensions d financial advice all Trust staff have FREE access to an independent financial advice service through Anderson Financial who can be contacted on 0117 900 1639.
