COVID testing guidance for staff with COVID symptoms or who are a contact of COVID
This guidance applies uniformly to individuals who are and are not vaccinated against COVID
PCR testing at the request of Infection Control
If you have been asked to participate in screening by Infection Control please complete the triage form here form 2 – Kingston Hospital and follow guidance from your manager / Infection Control about where and when to provide a swab sample.
Reporting COVID-19 symptoms or positive COVID-19 results to KHFT
Any staff member who develops COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19 on a lateral flow test, or PCR test, must report the symptoms/test result to their line manager or service manager.
In addition to letting your manager know that you have tested positive, please notify the occupational health team via our short online form.
This is an important step to help us identify services which are being impacted by COVID infection, so that we can put steps in place to ensure that patient care is not being adversely impacted.
Lateral flow test kits
There have been intermittent issues with the national system for ordering lateral flow tests for delivery. Please continue to use this system when available. If you are unable to access a test with your registered account please select the option continue without an account and access a test this way.
The NHS App is free to download and allows users to access some of their NHS records, including their COVID vaccination record and NHS COVID Pass. You may be asked to show your NHS COVID Pass to attend some events, or to travel abroad. The NHS App is different from the COVID-19 app, which is used for COVID contact tracing.
