Staff COVID Swabbing Service

This information is for Kingston Hospital staff only or NHS Community staff where an agreement is in place for KHFT to provide COVID testing

Testing is only to be requested for individuals with one of the following symptoms and only once all guidance documentation has been read and understood


  1. A high temperature
  2. A new, continuous cough
  3. A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

KHFT Staff - If you, or anyone in your household, has one of the applicable symptoms please read the KHFT guidance (SOP), the relevant flow chart if you are at home (Flow Chart A) or at work (Flow Chart B), complete the triage form (Triage Form) and inform your line manager.

NHS Community staff - If you have one of the applicable symptoms please read the NHS Community guidance (SOP), follow the flow chart (Community Flow Chart), complete the triage form (Triage Form) and inform your line manager as indicated by your organisational processes.

KHFT staff and household results - Once you receive your result please follow the flowchart to manage your self-isolation or safely return to work. (Flow Chart A).

NHS Community results – once you receive you result please discuss with your line manager as per your organisational processes.
