Become a member and support your local hospital – free to join
As a Foundation Trust Hospital, we serve and are accountable to you, our local community. Patients, staff and members of the public all have the right to become members, which costs nothing. We would love to hear from people who are interested in our hospital and what we do, and are keen to become actively involved in our plans.
If you are aged 14 or over, you can become a member by completing our short online form at the bottom of the page.
There are two vital groups at the heart of our organisation which are:
Our members: Our members can, if they wish, contribute to the organisation in many ways. Many act as volunteers in designated roles, but many members simply wish to be kept informed about Trust developments. However active our members are, we count on them all for feedback, local knowledge and support.
Our governors: The governors, with the support of our members, ensure our work is in keeping with our values, meeting the needs of our local residents and supporting all who use our services to make us successful. Members elect public representatives to the Council of Governors so that the local voice is heard.
Members can become even more involved by standing for election as governors and representing the views of their local community on the Council of Governors.
Would you like to help shape the future of patient care? Then please join us as a member of Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Membership is free and as a member you will be able to: • vote for your local representatives on the Council of Governors • stand for election to the Council of Governors • attend Council of Governors meetings • receive regular information about what we are doing • come to our health talks and meet our experts • take part in surveys and consultations
With your help, we will make sure that we continue to provide the highest quality care for our patients.
