Who we are
The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service has been developed as a joint venture between Macmillan Cancer Support and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We want to ensure that people affected by cancer have access to good quality, comprehensive and appropriate information and support.
The service is staffed by a health professional supported by trained volunteers. Some of our volunteers have personal experiences of living with cancer.
What we offer
We offer information and support to anyone who has concerns about cancer, their relatives, friends and carers.
You are welcome to browse through our range of information on all aspects of cancer, cancer prevention, and a healthy lifestyle.
A series of educational Macmillan workshops are held throughout the year.
We also offer free guided internet access on request. Some of our resources are available in different languages or a larger print and we also have a range of information for people with learning disabilities.
We can listen to you and discuss how cancer is affecting your life.
Kingston Hospital offer a range of complementary therapies.
What people ask us

We are open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (except Bank Holidays). You do not need to make an appointment.
You will be greeted either by the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Manager or a trained volunteer.
‘I was able to talk about how I felt about cancer and helped to find the information I needed.’ - Visitor to the service
Quote from a patient - "I just wanted to thank all your staff for their concern and help, after chemotherapy. I have found the mindfulness course and reiki invaluable in helping me 'turn a corner'. I feel ready to move on and have more energy to complete everyday tasks. Being the centre of attention for an hour or two has been very beneficial and has helped me focus on the future. The staff are friendly, professional an positive - thank you!"
