Mr Sudip Ray was appointed as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Kingston and St. George’s Hospitals in 2000. He initially qualified from Oxford University and the Westminster Hospital, London before specialist training in the professorial units of St George’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He completed his training in the prestigious vascular centres of UCLA and Albany, New York.
Mr Ray has developed a special interest in minimally invasive treatments of varicose veins using radiofrequency ablation, ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy and, more recently, bioadhesive closure using cyanoacrylate (Venaseal). He has presented his experience of these at national and international meetings and has set up the local anaesthetic vein unit in Kingston.
