Foundation Trusts have a Council of Governors which is made up of appointed Governors and elected public and staff Governors.

With the support of our members, our Governors ensure our work is in keeping with our values, meeting the needs of our local residents and supporting all who use our services to make us successful.

Elections for current vacancies on our Council of Governors are taking place this autumn. Read our notice of election.
Governors play a vital role in making sure that the hospital and its services are being run effectively and have direct influence on strategic decision-making.
If you are aged 16 years or over and a member of Kingston Hospital you can run for governor at Kingston Hospital.
There are 11 public governor vacancies open for election, representing:
Kingston – 3 vacancies
Richmond – 3 vacancies
Elmbridge – 1 vacancy
Rest of Surrey and Greater London – 1 vacancy
Wandsworth – 1 vacancy
Merton – 1 vacancy
Sutton – 1 vacancy
Nominations are open from Wednesday 6 September to Wednesday 4 October.
